Having pure intention

If you are unable to perform an action, then at least you must carry in your heart a truthful intention for Allah.

Every time you leave your house, make your only concern Allah. For the Imam's and the khateebs (for Friday sermons), the lectures and the teachers, their falls on them (a test) that doesn't falls on anyone else.  Do not mount a pulpit so that the people can say "how knowledgeable is so and so." rather, mount the pulpit to increase the love of the people for Allah SWT.

Don't go to the masjeed hoping that the Imam is not there so that you can lead and take his place. rather go to the masjeed with the intention of having your sins erased through your prayers.

Do not go to visit parents so that you can simply get this chore over and done with and you can go to your next appoinment rather visit them whilst contemplating the verse of Allah, and lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say,

"My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up (when I was) small."

Do not leave your house with the intention of harming anyone and perhaps you may die before you reach get the chance to harm him. So lost both ways, you didn't get to harm him and you will meet Allah with this bad state of intention.

If a person really knew Allah, when the night comes he would supplicate to Him.  Supplicate that,

"Oh Allah make no one in charge of me except You."

and supplicate to Allah to make Allah his only guardian and that no one in my heart except for Allah.

and remembers the speech of Allah, say,

"Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. and this I have been recommended, and  I am the first (among you) of the Muslims."

If he put his faith in that the religion is for Allah, and he ask Lord to protect him for his religion and not allow his hands and tongue to harm others and to give him true success, if he says it truthfully with a pure intention for Allah alone, Allah will not reject him who seeks refugee with Him.

Yet if a person's heart becomes full of hatred and envy and other evils form the shaytaan, on the pious people of the muslim, or the scholars, or even the normal public people or the distinguished people or the merchants, He will make waste his entire day envying people and his heart will never find rest!

Yet the one who knows Allah truthfully, his soul and his entire body will be at rest with Allah, and his prostrations at night will be a method for him to attain Allah's mercy.
